DePaul Admission Partnership Program (DAPP) Business Pathways
What is it?
Students who participate in the DePaul Admission Partnership Program are eligible to attend DePaul’s Driehaus College of Business to pursue a Bachelor's of Science in one of the following majors:
Benefits
- Guaranteed admission to DePaul University.
- Receive guidance and help planning ahead for a smooth transfer process.
- Students who meet the eligibility requirements at the time of transfer can receive up to $12,000/year with the DAPP scholarship. All transfer students will automatically be considered for the DePaul Transfer Scholarship with awards from $3,000-$13,000 annually.
- Earn two degrees. Earn your associate degree from Oakton and your Bachelor's Degree from DePaul.
- Attend special events and workshops. Have early access to customized visits. Observe a class, speak with current DePaul students, tour the campus, and meet with different departments.
Participation Details
In order to qualify for the DAPP Business Pathways, a student must:
- For All Majors
- Meet DAPP criteria and follow the procedures to apply for DAPP.
- DePaul College of Business recommends new transfer students come to the earliest DePaul orientation and initial advising appointment possible the term before transferring.
- It is also recommended new students make academic advising appointments early in their first quarter and at least 2 times per year.
- Accountancy:
- Students who are admitted to the Accountancy Transfer Honors Program at DePaul may be eligible to take ACC 303 for free at DePaul in the summer before transfer, if they perform well in ACC 153 and ACC 154.
- For ACC majors starting in the fall, DePaul recommends attending the Accountancy major’s workshop in late August.
- Accountancy majors may take up to 18 credits per term to help earn extra credits required for CPA.
- The School of Accountancy and MIS (SOAMIS) encourage and support students in their efforts to secure internship opportunities.
- SOAMIS recommends meeting with SOAMIS staff early in the first quarter at DePaul.
- Finance
- DePaul offers an Honors program in Finance. This is a cohort program that starts in the spring quarter. To be eligible for an interview, students must complete FIN 310 with a B+ in the fall or be taking it in winter prior to the program start.
- Typical minors for finance majors include: Accountancy, Management Information Systems, Economics, and Marketing.
- Management:
- DePaul offers an Honors program in Management. This is a cohort program that starts in the fall quarter. If interested, a student should speak to their admission counselor or academic advisor as early as possible to see if they are eligible to start in their first fall at DePaul.
- Management Concentrations include: Human Resources, Leadership and Change, International Management, Supply Chain Management and General Management. The Management Concentration you choose will determine the Management course you take in the major.
- Marketing
- DePaul offers an Honors program in Marketing. This is a cohort program that starts in the fall quarter. If interested, a student should speak to their admission counselor or academic advisor as early as possible to see if they are eligible to start in their first fall at DePaul.
- Marketing Concentrations: Digital, Sales, Honors (application only), and Standard.
How to Apply
- Complete the DAPP participation form. Indicate your intended date of transfer and major. If you have not decided on a major, you may join DAPP by identifying yourself as an "undeclared major". Your degree requirements will not be established until your major is declared.
- Schedule an appointment to meet with a DePaul University transfer counselor within one month of submitting the DAPP form.
- Confirm that you meet the DAPP participation requirements at your scheduled appointment.
